The World Organization of States – International Parliament for Safety and Peace (WOS-IPSP) expresses its deepest condolences and solidarity with the people of Afghanistan, who have been severely affected by the recent earthquake that caused casualties, injuries, and significant material damage.
In the face of this tragedy, our Organization shares the grief of the families of the victims and extends its sympathy to the Afghan authorities and the entire population, once again confronted with a difficult trial in a context already marked by social and economic challenges.
The Secretary General of WOS-IPSP, H.E. Amb. Dr. Alfredo Maiolese, stated:
“Afghanistan must not feel alone. The international community has a moral and humanitarian duty to mobilize in order to provide immediate assistance and to support reconstruction. In such moments, beyond any political or cultural differences, the universal value of solidarity must prevail.”
The WOS-IPSP reaffirms its readiness to cooperate with local institutions, international agencies, and humanitarian organizations to support relief initiatives and concrete aid programs for the affected communities.
In this moment of grief, we raise our prayers so that the Afghan people may find comfort, strength, and hope to rise again and rebuild, with the certainty that peace and solidarity remain the guiding paths to face global challenges.
