In an era marked by profound political, economic, technological, and social transformations, democracy remains one of the most precious and fragile achievements of humankind. It is not the exclusive heritage of one nation or one continent, but a universal value that must be safeguarded, renewed, and continually strengthened.

The true risk to democracy does not come solely from external threats, but also from internal dynamics that can lead to personalism, power struggles, and populist distortions. When democracy is reduced to a mere formal mechanism, stripped of its essence of participation, inclusion, and social justice, it loses its strength and becomes vulnerable to dangerous deviations.

Today, major powers such as the United States, Europe, and Asia, despite their different models, share the same challenge: ensuring that democracy remains a path of freedom and responsibility, capable of combining stability with progress, and security with fundamental rights.

The World Organization of States – International Parliament for Safety and Peace (WOS-IPSP) reaffirms that the future of democracy will depend on the ability of governments and peoples to face global challenges together in a spirit of cooperation. Only through dialogue and solidarity will it be possible to prevent the logic of domination from prevailing over the common good.

Democracy is never a final achievement: it is a journey that requires vigilance, renewal, and the constant commitment of all.
